As the 2024 holiday season approaches, CO-OPP's Community Affairs committee
is excited to present several fantastic opportunities for members interested in
participating in holiday giving activities.
“TOYS FOR TOTS” TOY DRIVE:
The Community Affairs Committee will be collecting toy donations at CO-OPP’s Annual Luncheon for the annual “Toys for Tots” toy drive to help make the holiday season special
for local children. If you wish to participate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy donation to the luncheon and we will take care of transporting those donations to the toy drive.
CHARITABLE DONATIONS TO LOCAL FOOD PANTRY:
There are numerous food pantries in the Greater Columbus area that help improve the well-being of our community by providing food and support. Local food pantries prefer monetary donations
which allow them to purchase food at a reduced cost and, therefore, stretch dollars much further.
In July, the Hilliard food pantry warehouse suffered a devastating fire destroying the warehouse. Water and smoke damaged all donated supplies stored in the warehouse pantry leaving them
in desperate need of donations to help with costs associated with the fire, and to replenish their pantry. Food supplies for the Hilliard food pantry are purchased from the Mid-Ohio Food Collective
and for every $1.00 donated, they are able to purchase $4.56 in groceries. Please click on the link below for further information on how to contribute a monetary donation or for details on actual
